The 2023 Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Partnership Forum took place recently on 31 January 2023 at the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ) in New York. 4 members delegation of Youth Parliament ( Sarker Tanvir Ahmed, Samira Akter, Md. Sohel Rana, Md. Asif Ahmed) attended this global forum virtually. At the start of each year, Under the main theme of the 2023 ECOSOC and the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”,the Partnership Forum serves as an opportunity for ECOSOC and other UN entities, as well as influential leaders from governments, private and non-profit sectors, and civil society, to collaborate and exchange new ideas and priorities for the work of ECOSOC and the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in the year ahead.
Prior to the Forum, the Partnership Exchange session will be held virtually on 30 January 2022, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, to share knowledge on the design and implementation of partnerships that contribute to the SDGs. An analytical summary has been to capture the key policy messages of this Forum along with the messages of the Coordination Segment, which will serve as an input to the July 2023 HLPF and the 2023 SDG Summit as well as the overall work of the ECOSOC and other key inter-governmental processes throughout 2023.
